Set on the Ridge in Central Florida, we are a Christian regeneration program helping men find freedom from their addictions. This is a safe environment away from the day-to-day chaos and distractions, where men can focus on healing. We believe this healing can only be found through an authentic relationship with Jesus. Putting families back together, one man and one family at a time.
Before Refuge of the Ridge, I was a lost cause. I had burned every bridge and opportunity that I came across and had no direction in my life. I had struggled with alcohol and substance abuse my entire adult life. I knew in my heart if I didn’t find help I wouldn’t make it to my next birthday, as suicidal thoughts constantly ran through my head. I had no hope or love for myself or others around me. With God's grace and the help of Refuge on the Ridge, all was restored in me and my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am now a successful business owner and a member of High Point Church. I have custody of my kids back and live in a beautiful house that we call home. I thank God for putting the vision on director Pastor Andy Blair daily because without that, none of this could of been possible for myself and other men who struggle with addiction. - Daniel Baldwin
Hello, and welcome to Refuge on the Ridge. We are so glad you have taken a moment of your time to learn about an organization that is so close to my heart. As someone who has endured and overcame my own struggle with addiction, I understand the importance of recovery options that provide more than just rehabilitation services. Our team is proud to introduce this faith-based residential regeneration program in Lake Wales and guide men towards sobriety through a God-centered life.
Having served as the Family Life Pastor at High Point Church for the past three years, now is the time to branch out to follow the path God has created for me. While it's sad to say goodbye, as I step away from my staff position at High Point; I am full of gratitude for their continuous support on this journey.
During my battle with addiction, I found healing and peace through my relationship with God and His word. It was then I realized how imperative a spiritual foundation has on the recovery process. God has placed it on my heart to form Refuge on the Ridge and offer hope and faith to those facing the same challenges I once did.
As I take on the new title of Pastor and Executive Director of Refuge on the Ridge, our team is excited for the transformations God will undoubtedly bring to Lake Wales, Polk County, and across this nation. This venture will bring hope to the hopeless and healing to those who feel broken. Our team will help you foster a personal relationship with God as you grow closer to Him and further from your addictions.
