HOW IT ALL STARTED
The idea of Refuge on the Ridge began in 2020, sparked by a vision God placed on the heart of Pastor Andy Blair. When he brought the idea to Pastor Jack Hilligoss of High Point Church, something incredible happened - the community didn’t just agree, they rallied. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a ministry supported by local leaders, faithful board members, and a church family determined to see men set free.

From day one, God opened a door no one expected: The Refuge on the Ridge was given the historic Chalet Suzanne as its home, thanks to the support of Eric & Dee Hinshaw. A place once known for hospitality became a place of healing — a safe haven where men could pursue sobriety through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
As The Refuge on the Ridge moves forward, our commitment remains the same — to love, support, and walk alongside these men with the foundation God has built. We are grateful to everyone who helped us get here, and we move forward in faith toward all that God will continue to do.
